Mac

Mozilla exceeded most expectations with the launch of Firefox 3, recording more than 5 million downloads. Still, since themes are created by an open source community, not very many themes have been updated yet to comply with Firefox 3.

Here are some of our favorites:

Aeon - Buttons light up as you pass over them, and some extensions also have icon support.

Aero Fox - A popular theme for quite a while now. Also offers a premium version of this theme that costs $.99. The free version is available, as well as several other themes from the same designer.

Classic Compact - Compacts the navigation and other toolbars to increase screen real-estate for the actual browsing. Has a customization panel so you can change setting to suit your taste.

Firefox 2 - If you like the functionality of Firefox 3, but don't thrill to the new default theme, you can download this one to give you back the appearance of Firefox 2.

Foxdie - Turns Firefox into a Safari visual clone with multiple color choices available.

Halloween - Though it is directed at the Halloween holiday, this animated theme is perfect for goths and fans of films like The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In The Dark - A dark, compact, theme designed in black, white and four shades of gray.

Kempelton - Clean looking icons for your browser, but do no work in Mac OS X due to Firefox issues.

NASA Night Launch - A popular dark theme with over 4 million total downloads.

Newgrounds Classic - Based off of the popular Newgrounds site, this theme is a mixture of black with very shiny yellow, complete with some animation.

Past Modern - Rounded icons in a polished metal look that shrinks the navigation bar some from the standard FF3 size.

Phoenity Reborn - A colorful theme with multiple icon sizes to customize your browser buttons.

Pimpzilla - Have you ever surfed the Web and thought, 'this would be so much fun if my Web browser had some leopard skin and some bling on it.' Your wishes have come true.

Pink-Bee - Written in French, it's still hard to pass up on this one if you're looking for a pink theme.

PitchDark - A dark, minimalistic theme with maximum screen real-estate and readability in mind.
