Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac is a sleek and simple way to add analog video capture capabilities to a Mac. The user can capture video in an iPod-native format from a wide range of analog sources - camcorder, set-top box, game console or VCR. Imported videos are automatically added to iTunes, ready to sync with an iPod or Apple TV. The Elgato Video Capture uses the connected computer’s hardware for encoding, so a powerful machine is definitely preferable. Recently Elgato added Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 Capture Edition Software for Windows users to take advantage of the device. This program works with the Elgato device and offers many features found in the Elgato Video. (Touch ID will unlock the display, but you should always be prompted for your passcode to trust the Mac.)
